What does the Stage 1 Training (Child & Adolescent) enable you to do?
- Lead the Resilience Doughnut implementation and fully embed the model into existing good practice within your school, college or welfare organisation.
- Lead the delivery of the Resilience Doughnut with children, young people and parents within your school or college or community organisation.
- Confidently support further training to colleagues, providing them with knowledge, understanding, skills, resources and support as required.

This course will be held at the Resilience Centre, Epping. NSW.
Following face to face Accredited Training will be 10th and 11th September, then 5th and 6th November, 2018.
This 3 day accredited training with Lyn Worsley will equip you with the skills and resources to fully implement the Resilience Doughnut in your school, college, agency or community setting.
Our Accredited Level 1 Training will equip you with the skills and resources to fully implement The Resilience Doughnut in your agency, school or college.
Stage 1 : 2 days face to face (or Online) training.
Stage 2 Application: 1 day face-to-face or Online training.
Teachers, executive staff and college year advisors, teaching assistants, pastoral / welfare staff, community liaison officers, chaplains and support staff.
You are required to read ‘The Resilience Doughnut – The Secret of Strong Kids’.
Although not required, we encourage schools and colleges to run some Team Training & Development before, during or after Level 1 Training.
Our Level 1 Training (Child & Adolescent) will enable you to:

Confidently cascade further training to colleagues, providing them with knowledge, understanding, skills, resources and support as required.
What does the Stage 1 Training cover?
- Comprehensive teaching about the components of The Resilience Doughnut, and the research on which the model is based.
Introduction to strengths-based work with young people.
Strategies for enhancing a more optimistic thinking style in young people, and nurturing their abilities for moral thinking and perspective taking.
Step by step explanation of how to teach the Resilience Doughnut to various target groups (including parents, primary school students and high school students).
Step by step explanation of how to teach the Resilience Doughnut to new colleagues and cascade further training to colleagues.
Opportunities for attendees to interact with Resilience Doughnut resources and to practice using and teaching the model.
What does the Stage 2 Application cover?
Developing a child and adolescent wellbeing plan for your school / workplace.
Planning your Resilience Doughnut Strategy.
Data informed strategy evaluation and the continuous improvement process in wellbeing and resilience.
Application using case studies: how to apply as an intervention in your context.

Resilience Report – Setup Training
This course contributes 20 hours of NESA endorsed training.
Stage 1 will contribute 14 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing 1.1.2; 3.4.2; 4.1.2; 5.4.2; 6.2.2, 6.3.2, 6.4.2, 7.3.2, 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW and with 14 CPD Hours APS College.
Stage 2 training provides additional resourcing and 6 hours NESA endorsed (face to face or Online) training for planning, application and implementation of the model in your organisation.

PRE – COURSE CHECK LIST
The training will assume that participants are familiar with the Resilience Doughnut model. All attendees at the Accredited Training are required to:
- have attended a session on the Resilience Doughnut at a conference or workshop
- have read Lyn Worsley’s book “The Resilience Doughnut: The Secret of Strong Kids“.
Attendees are requested to sign a Participants Training Agreement acknowledging Lyn Worsley’s intellectual property rights for materials provided.
To attend this Resilience Doughnut Accredited Training course, the preferred mode of registration is to use our shopping cart above. You can pay using PayPal’s online credit card facility. You can also choose to pay later by cheque or EFT, in which case an invoice will immediately be emailed to you with further details about how to pay.

Terms & Conditions
Please register as early as possible as most courses are booked out well before the due date. A course may be postponed 3 weeks prior if insufficient registrations have been received. However, registrations will be permitted until the day before the course, space permitting.
Participants will receive a confirmation email or phone call in the week before the course. If you do not hear from us, please contact us to ensure we have received your registration.
Please let us know ASAP if you are unable to attend a course. If you cancel up to 2 weeks prior to a course, fees will be refunded; after this, a 20% cancellation fee will be charged. The balance can be refunded or held over for a later course. It is also possible to transfer your place in the course to another person – but you must contact us, and provide us with their name and contact details.
Non attendance without notifying us or cancellation within 24 hours incurs the full fee.
